The Utah Warriors will use Lumin Strength to power its elite strength and conditioning (S&C) program.
It comes as Utah bolsters its performance department ahead of the 2025 Major League Rugby (MLR) season.
Lumin Strength, built by Australian sports technology company Lumin Sports, is a S&C programmer built to make programming faster and more efficient for coaches.
Director of Athletic Performance at Utah Warriors, Sebastian Pearson, believes Lumin Strength is best suited to the unique needs of the Warriors and the MLR more broadly.
"The Lumin Strength platform is a phenomenal tool,’’ Pearson said.
‘’It not only streamlines my day-to-day programming needs but also allows me to be highly effective in managing and planning for our remote and international athletes during the off-season which is a hurdle that is unique to the MLR."
The Utah Warriors become the fifth MLR franchise to embed Lumin Sports in its high-performance program.
NOLA Gold, San Diego Legion, RFC Los Angeles, and the Chicago Hounds use the platform for athlete management and S&C needs.
Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer, Ben Tripodi, said Lumin Strength is fast becoming the programmer of choice among S&C professionals.
‘’We’re seeing more coaches turn to Lumin Sports because we not only make programming easier and faster, but we act on feedback and coaches are reporting significant athlete buy-in,’’ Tripodi said.
‘’We’re very excited to be working with the Warriors and are looking forward to playing a role in helping them achieve their MLR ambitions in 2025 and beyond’’
