West Adelaide is leaving no stone unturned as it plots its course back to the top rungs of the SANFL and SANFLW competition.

Coaches, support staff and more than 200 players across its development and senior squads will use Lumin Sports software for strength and conditioning programming, performance monitoring, team communications, and medical management.

Head of Football at West Adelaide Football Club, Paul Streatfield, said embedding Lumin in the football program is designed to streamline processes and elevate performance across the club.

‘’It’s about putting the systems and process in place to give the club the best chance of success,’’ Streatfield said.

‘’We’ve got part-time footballers, most of our staff are part time as well, so asking them in the past to be across four or five different apps to track everything is time consuming and not overly efficient for what we’re trying to do.’’

The Bloods become the seventh SANFL club to rollout Lumin Sports to its players and staff.

While welcoming West Adelaide, Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer, Ben Tripodi, said the team will continue to innovate and find ways to provide ongoing value.

‘’Our software lessens administrative pressure and gives time back to coaches, staff and athletes so they can concentrate on more important things like development and performance,’’ Tripodi said.

‘’That being said, sport moves fast, and we are looking forward to working alongside the coaches and staff at West Adelaide to ensure we continue to meet their needs now and well into the future.’’

Lumin Sport’s latest deal with West Adelaide Football Club follows agreements with Sturt Football Club, New Zealand Football, and Hong Kong China Rugby.
