Lumin Sports delivering the ultimate sports software for UMBC Student Athletes

The UMBC Retrievers become the latest National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division One program to make Lumin Sports their home for athlete management and strength and conditioning.

 

The Retrievers represent the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and compete in the America East Conference.

 

More than 500 coaches and student-athletes will use the Australian-made software to monitor athletic performance & health, streamline team communications, and implement a robust strength and conditioning program.

 

Associate Athletics Director at UMBC, Stacy Carone, said Lumin is uniquely positioned to bring athletic departments together while simultaneously enhancing the athlete experience.  


‘‘Collaboration is the foundation of our work here at UMBC and Lumin allows space for both Sports Medicine and Sports Performance to house all our data and strength training sessions to further those efforts,’’ Carone said.

 

‘’Student athlete wellness is at the forefront of all we do and Lumin allows us to utilize wellness data to make the most educated decisions surrounding our training programs.’’

The UMBC Retrievers are the athletic teams that represent the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, located in Catonsville, Maryland, in intercollegiate athletics as a member of the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the America East Conference. UMBCA sponsors 17 varsity teams.
