FC Cincinnati to Embed Lumin Sports in its High Performance Program
News

FC Cincinnati has become the first Major League Soccer (MLS) club to adopt Lumin Strength, setting a new benchmark for performance innovation in the league.

High performance staff and Strength and Conditioning (S&C) Coaches will use the Australian-owned S&C platform to program, prescribe and monitor the S&C load of its senior and developmental squads.

Austin Berry, FC Cincinnati Strength and Conditioning Coach, said Lumin will play a key role in the high-performance program.

“We chose Lumin to ensure our players’ strength and conditioning progress is monitored with precision and consistency,’’ Berry said.

“It gives coaches real-time data to individualize workloads and optimize performance throughout the season.”

“By centralizing all training metrics, the program enhances communication across departments and ensures players moving between squads don't fall through the cracks.”

Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer Ben Tripodi said partnering with FC Cincinnati was a significant milestone for the company.

“Their high-performance staff demanded a S&C platform that was fast, intuitive, and could easily be plugged into an elite environment—and Lumin Strength delivers exactly that.”

“Not only will coaches be able to prescribe programs and monitor S&C loads all year round but also have easy access to critical data that will shape performance decisions.”

“We’re excited to support FC Cincinnati and work with Austin in the lead up to and throughout the 2026 season.”

FC Cincinnati follows in the footsteps of FIFA World Cup qualifiers New Zealand Football, who adopted the Lumin platform earlier in 2025.
