Melbourne Girls Grammar School (MGGS) has embedded Lumin Strength in its sports development program, providing 500 student-athletes and five coaches with a central platform for strength and conditioning (S&C) development.
MGGS will use the Australian-made S&C platform to program, monitor and communicate training across year levels and teams as part of its broader athletic development strategy.
Sally Bailey, Executive Director of Artemis Programs at MGGS, said the school was seeking a coaching tool that fostered meaningful two-way feedback, helping coaches make better programming decisions while giving students greater ownership of their development.
“Lumin has brought our programming, monitoring and communication into one accessible space, making it easier for students to track their progress, reflect on their habits, and develop a mindset of ownership and growth in their development.”
“It allows us to individualise strength programs within team environments while still tracking each student’s progress.’’
Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer, Ben Tripodi, said Australian schools are increasingly looking for structure and clarity in their S&C programs.
“School S&C coaches are often running high-quality programs without the platforms to support them at scale,” Tripodi said.
“Coaches need visibility, structure, a single source of truth and the ability to individualise within team environments without increasing admin load.”
“At Melbourne Girls Grammar, coaches now have one platform to plan and monitor programs, while students can clearly see what they’re working toward.”
‘’It’s about building capable, confident young athletes who understand their training.”
MGGS is the latest Australian school to embed Lumin in its programs and follows St Joseph’s Nudgee College, Geelong College and Xavier College to adopt the platform.
