St Kevin’s College will use Lumin Sports to enhance athlete development across its multi-sport program.
Coaches and staff will use Lumin’s platform to manage training load, monitor recovery and align strength and conditioning across student-athletes balancing school and external sport commitments.
Justin Blee, Physical Preparation Manager at St Kevin’s College, said embedding Lumin reflects the increasing complexity of managing multi-sport student-athletes within a school environment.
‘’It means we’re not just relying on what we see, we can use data to help guide training and recovery decisions.’’
‘’At the same time, students start to understand their own performance better, which is a key part of their development.’’
Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer Ben Tripodi said schools are increasingly dealing with the operational challenge of managing athletes across multiple environments.
“Coaches are working with athletes who are training in several programs at once, often without clear visibility of total load,” Tripodi said.
Tripodi also said giving students access to their own data shifts how they engage with training.
“When athletes understand their training, they take more ownership.”
“That clarity builds better habits, which is what long-term development depends on.”
St Kevin’s College joins a growing number of schools adopting Lumin Sports, including Xavier College, Geelong College and Melbourne Girls Grammar, as programs look to bring structure and visibility to athlete development.
