The Sydney Flames have selected Lumin Sports to support strength and conditioning (S&C) development across their high-performance program ahead of the 2027 Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) season.
Flames S&C staff will use Lumin Strength to design, deliver and monitor individualised training programs throughout the season, giving coaches one system to manage programming and athlete development.
Sydney Flames Strength and Conditioning Coach Josie Bulman said Lumin will help the club deliver a more efficient and individualised approach to S&C development.
"We've chosen Lumin due to its ability to easily deliver and manage individualised strength and conditioning programs for our athletes," Bulman said.
"We're looking forward to using the platform to streamline our programming, making it easier to adapt training throughout the season and provide every athlete with the support they need to continue developing."
Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer Ben Tripodi said professional basketball programs are increasingly moving towards purpose-built S&C technology that gives coaches greater structure and visibility.
"Across professional basketball, coaches are looking for systems that make it easier to manage individual athletes without adding complexity to their program," Tripodi said.
"The ability to build, adjust and deliver programs from one place gives coaches greater clarity across the season and more time to focus on coaching."

The Sydney Flames join Bendigo Spirit and the Perth Lynx among WNBL clubs using Lumin Sports, reflecting a broader move towards dedicated strength and conditioning technology across Australian professional basketball.
The adoption also strengthens Lumin Sports' position across professional basketball, with its software now used by teams competing in the NBL, NBA and WNBA.
