The Adelaide Thunderbirds will use Lumin Sports to support their 2027 Super Netball title defence.

The reigning champions will use Lumin as a central hub for athlete management, bringing strength and conditioning (S&C) programming, performance monitoring, medical documentation and athlete data into one platform.

Adelaide Thunderbirds Physical Performance Manager Matthew Evans said the platform will give performance and medical staff greater visibility across the entire program.

“The ability to integrate multiple sports science tools gives us a more holistic view of each athlete and helps our staff make better-informed decisions across the program.

“One of the features that really stood out was Lumin's data visualisation. Having the ability to present information in a clear and meaningful way not only improves how our staff interpret data, but also helps athletes better understand their progress, performance and wellbeing.

“Our vision is to use Lumin as our central hub and the platform's flexibility, combined with the local support team and willingness to adapt to our needs, gives us confidence that it can continue to evolve alongside our program.”

Commenting on the new deal, Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer Ben Tripodi said the Thunderbirds join a growing number of professional sports organisations streamlining operations and performance workflows.

‘’Our aim is to give coaches, practitioners and high-performance managers structure and visibility without adding more administrative work,” Tripodi said.

“The Thunderbirds, like many other sport organisations around the world, want their staff working from one connected view of the athlete, where performance, medical and strength data inform decisions across the program.”

“We’re thrilled to be working alongside another great South Australian organisation and supporting their title defence.’’

The Thunderbirds join the Queensland Firebirds, Melbourne Mavericks and West Coast Fever among Super Netball organisations using Lumin Sports, strengthening the Australian technology company's position across professional netball.
