RFC Los Angeles will use Lumin Sports to elevate its performance department ahead of its second Major League Rugby (MLR) season.

While the dust settles on its debut 2024 campaign, RFCLA has decided to make the Australian athlete management and S&C software a key part of its performance ecosystem ahead of MLR25.

RFCLA Director of Performance, Lucas Baistrocchi, said Lumin Sports will help the club achieve its mission of providing the best performance environment in the league.

‘’Lumin will help us take a massive step forward towards our mission and bring synergy to all departments within our organization,’’ Baistrocchi said.

‘’The load monitoring tools, medical record keeping, and integrations with other software used throughout the league make this platform a must.’’

RFC Los Angeles becomes the third MLR team to make Lumin Sports a key part of its operations.

They join the San Diego Legion and NOLA Gold who both made playoffs in 2024.

Lumin Sports Chief Executive Officer, Ben Tripodi, said more teams are beginning to realise the benefits of having one platform to manage athletic performance, team operations, medical management, and strength & conditioning.

RFC Los Angeles joins National Lacrosse League (NLL) teams the San Diego Seals and the Las Vegas Desert Dogs to implement Lumin in the past month.
